Think Happy Thoughts ...

Think happy thoughts; they give you wings?

(Open Ocean photograph. Over a dozen of these "spinner" dolphins were dancing alongside our sailboat as we flew through the water.  I'm not great at photographing things in motion, but somehow I managed to zoom in and get a semi-closeup of this guy.  Quite an amazing, not to mention uplifting, sight to behold.)

A friend of mine shared this quote today.  I found it to be rather poignant ...

Late Night Pondering?

"Supernova"

Love and Hate … two seemingly polar ends of the spectrum for human expression of innermost feelings? Sitting here today, I have to wonder which is the easier of the two feelings to manifest given our “human condition” … Does the answer depend upon the individual person?  And is the answer merely a matter of effort, instinct or both?   That is to say, are we humans inherently selfish by nature or is this selfishness learned?  Sitting here today, I am inclined to think that selfishness is a predisposition acquired by most when we incarnate … take on flesh. Then the extent to which we are influenced by to act upon this “selfishness” of the human condition depends upon the current state of an individual’s spiritual evolution of their immortal soul. If you accept the latter as a truth, then does a predisposition toward selfishness make Hate the easier emotion to manifest? Does one have to work through the inclination towards selfishness, and hence Hate, in order to get to Love? And if this is the case, isn’t the relationship between Love and Hate rather circular in nature than purely linear and polarizing? Love and Hate, sitting side by side … but a stones-throw away from one another, intimately interwoven by varying degrees along the circular path of the continuum of our existence, with the greatest intensity of repulsion residing at the point of their closest meeting?  Hence the supernova...  And if you accept this circular relationship between Love and Hate, does it then take a truly enlightened --or innocent soul-- in order to be able to bridge this shortest distance of maximum repulsion while the rest of us must take the longer circuitous route? Love and Hate, the intimate nature of our human duality along the continuum of our existence.

9/25/2012 ... I wonder are there ever instances where anger is a useful emotion????? Many of my therapists seem to think that anger can be a useful emotion and of course they add that anger is an emotion I need to "learn how to express", but to my way of thinking these therapists only look at half of the equation.  They aren't considering the spiritual aspects of anger, I think.

... Then again, anger when internalized --as opposed to externally expressed-- raw and freshly processed, and of sufficient intensity, seems to be capable of opening up the tighty locked, and long-forgotten, closed doors of the mind?

"It's NOT Fair!" ...

“Stop & Stare” … A Song By One Republic … “Fair ain’t what you really need” One of the lines from the song.  How many times do hear children say “That’s not fair!” And how do you reply to this emotionally charged expletive?  Or rather, I should say, what’s the first thought that goes through your mind.  I mean, if you’re being honest. You want to say, “Hey, kid, Life is anything but fair so get used to it!” But how cruel and heartless is that?  That life is not fair is a truth they will come to know on their own, eventually, but how soon do you want or really need to let them in on it? Isn’t it funny the lengths we often go to in order to shield our children from the sometimes cruel realities of this world. Knowing all the while -- if we are being honest with ourselves and them—that at some point we have to let our children in on some of the less pleasant “truths” of our world in order prepare them to face the world on their own someday and actually survive. The trick is to enlighten them in subtle, simple ways that they can come understand gradually, while processing a given truth within the scope of their limited experience, right?

Isn’t it funny --albiet a sad kind of funny ... sometimes you have to laugh just to keep from crying-- how so much of what is going on the world today is worthy of that simple, innocent childhood response: “That’s not fair!” It’s not fair that an innocent man, an ambassador of goodwill, working to forge meaningful political and economic relationships with a “neighboring” country should be dragged from the embassy where he worked. That he should be brutally tortured, sodomized and dragged through the streets before finally surrendering to his death. It’s not fair that an analyst working at the same embassy and two Navy Seals, staying at an adjacent safe house who responded with intent to help fend off the embassy attack, also lost their lives in this brutal attack. It’s insane –forget FAIR!-- to think that four human lives were needlessly taken in retaliation for a perceived insult delivered via a supposed internet video created by a misguided American who does not speak for our country as a whole. It’s not fair –not to mention unconscionable-- that our fellow inhabitants of this rapidly spinning Blue Planet think that it is not only okay to take human lives because of perceived insults due the nature of our different religious and political beliefs, but that they actually believe that doing so is the will of God our Creator?! It’s not fair that millions of Americans can’t find work and have stopped looking. It’s not fair that we live in a world where the cost to put a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our bodies and gas in our cars is sky rocketing out of control with no clear meaningful economic relief in sight. It’s not fair that our nation is so divided along religious and political party lines that we seem to have lost the ability to carry on any meaningful civilized discussions toward the end of alleviating the REAL problems facing our nation as a whole. It’s not fair that religious people judge and condemn others in the name of their religion. It’s not fair that an injured soldier who bravely served his/her country returns home to face nearly insurmountable struggles with insufficient aid and nearly laughable compensation from our government. It’s not fair that the nuclear option is returning to the forefront of conceivable realities for our lifetime, with a now nuclear North Korea and an Iran on the cusp of becoming a nuclear power … especially in light of the escalating hostilities from Middle East towards Americans and the United States. It’s not fair ….

It’s not fair, but the meaningful question here is what are you going to do about it? Taken as a whole, I agree, it ALL is rather overwhelming. So just pick one … one thing that you are going to do, yourself, today to help make the world a better place … to share with our children that, yes, sometimes life isn’t fair, but in those instances you can still have a voice and act to impact change towards a greater end. I think we teach our children best by example, by our actions … not by the easy way out of “do as I say, not as I do.” Our children are watching: what will they learn from us as parents, citizens, members of houses of worship … political parties, communities?

Perhaps you can pray with your children for those who have needlessly lost their lives in terror attacks. Pray for the misguided souls that are being used by politically motivated extremist religious leaders to take innocent lives. Perhaps you will find the courage to speak out against the misguided that act in hate or violence in the name of your religion. Perhaps you will swallow your pride and forgive your neighbor when they insult you for your differing opinion on religious or political matters. Perhaps you will be an informed citizen that actually makes it to the polls on Election day 2012 in order to cast a legitimate vote with the hope of stopping –and ultimately reversing-- the rapidly declining state of our country. Perhaps you will help a friend network and find a job … Make a donation to your local food bank. The opportunities to truly make a difference and impact change are endless. Don’t give up hope … Don’t just bicker and complain: ACT. Our children are watching: what will they learn from us as parents, citizens, members of houses of worship … political parties, communities? Perhaps the most powerful legacy we leave our children is our meaningful action in the face of adversity.

Tempting Fate?

...

"Tempting Fate" a.k.a. "Against the Wall"

@Copyrighted Photograph 2012.  All Rights Reserved: Isabelle Black Smith.

Climbing amongst these rocks ... unexpectedly, unprepared.  I had seen something splashing in the water while I was driving by and simply had to stop to see what it was.  I was wearing a 3 inch slip-on wedge shoe, at the time.  I hadn't wanted to slip my sandles off because the rocks had lots of sharp edges and I was afraid I'd cut up my feet.  Waves were pounding into the rock-lined shore as I raced along the rocks at full-speed trying to keep up with the sea turtles and seal I had seen frolicking in the ocean waters.  I probably should have fallen --being the clutz I can be-- but I didn't. Probably should have been swept off the rocks by a stray wave too, but somehow I wasn't.  Angels watching over me? Looking at this photograph painting now, I am sure that you've noticed the horizon isn't level?  Thought about fixing it with a one degree rotation, cropping and painting in the gapped edges of sky left at the top --know this because I am doing just such for another version-- but for the purposes of this post ... the skewed sky slanting toward the shore adds weight to the watery waves crashing into the shore, I think.  And perhaps the slanted sky helps to evoke the "madness" of the tempest stirred when one brave soul dares to tempt fate, thereby adding creedence to the title?

... And given my penchant for being mysterious and hiding, I've hidden my name in here somewhere.  Care to find it?

9/16/2012  Reading back over this ... this photo and its accompanying tale seem a fitting metaphor for my life.  Maybe it's time to slip my sandles off and *@&!* the feet?  Maybe getting swept away wouldn't be so bad after all ... Lord knows I've endured my fair share of falling.

Rigteousness belongs to the Creator ALONE ...

He gave them free-will, resulting in a glorious array of diversity which has woven a magnificent tapestry of life on this rapidly spinning Blue Planet, but they fail to see and accept this diversity for the gift that it truly is.  Instead look what they do with this most generous gift of free-will ... Their pride and self-centered way of viewing the world around them consumes them.  They bicker and argue over trivialities –for they cannot see beyond this here, this now.  They do this all in the name of a false sense of righteousness which they believe affords them the right to judge, condemn and ultimately control others in an effort to align others in the world around them with their narrow-minded way of thinking.  But perhaps the greatest affront of all comes from those who claim that their judgment and resultant actions are the will of the Creator.  Those who act in violence using His name are the greatest affront to His gift of all.  How much longer do you suppose He will leave these humans to act in violence using His name? Righteousness belongs to the Creator and to Him alone.

Judgment Should Be a FOUR-Letter Word ...

Sometimes I forget that just because I am about Peace, Love and Understanding (Non- Judgment) that doesn’t mean that others in this world are coming at me from the same angle. Just because I choose not to judge others does not mean that they won’t judge me in return. Sometimes those wake-up calls catch me off-guard and maybe that makes them hurt all the more?

Sadly if I had to name the one thing that is WRONG with world today, I would have to say that it was unequivocally: JUDGMENT. In my eyes judgment is at the root of all that ails us in our personal lives, families, communities, cities, states … nations. To my way of thinking judgment lies at the root all evil: materialism, racism, chauvinism, favoritism … to name a top few. Judgment is perhaps at the core of our human nature, but in order to evolve on a spiritual level we must overcome judgment and begin to move beyond.

Most days I have a dreamer's hope for the world, but on days like today I look at the world and see a world slowly strangling itself and it grieves me greatly …

“Scales of Disillusionment”

Coldness of metal rests hungrily beneath icy feet.
Twirling fan above
warbles in a feigned breath of lifeless air.
Intermittent slicing splinters superficial light.
Disillusionment yields a limited sight.
Close my eyes to wonder if I’m still here?
Is anybody else awake out there?
Too tired to even sigh … Breath won’t come?
Fuzzy mind’s now incapable of pondering why.
Weight of the world once seemed to balance
My scale, but day’s growing longer now.
Slowly slipping into the inevitable pale.
Wisdom of ageless sages can’t prevail.

Song: "Sensible Heart", By City & Colour

7/28/2015  I have been reflecting on the concept of judgment as outlined above and it now occurs to me that a necessary distinction should be made between "judgment" and  the notion of "assessment."  To my way of thinking assessment is at times required in order to make subsequent decisions from an informed position.  Take for expample the election process.  It is entirely reasonable, if not a useful necessity, for a voter/constituent to assess the record of a candidate before casting his/her vote for or against said candidate in an election.  The latter assessment helps to ensure "accountability" in government.  Similarly, assessment of one's immediate surroundings, at any given point in time, can help to minimize risk of serious harm or injury.  And there are likely countless other examples.  So how might one quantify the distinction between and assessment vs. outright judgment?  Perhaps, merely that the former produces a useful byproduct while the latter does not?

... Thoughts after writing this post:  Lie vs. Lay?  Irregular verbs, transitive verbs and conjugating ... Oh my?!  Did I get it right?????  Being an engineer: grammar was never one of my strong subjects.  The English language --with respect to grammar-- did, however, begin to make a bit more sense to me after learning a foreign language.  But I do love words and word weaving, so this has led me to strive for accuracy in my writing whenever possible.  My high school English teacher would be proud of me?? ... Think I had it right with my first pass "lying" vs. "laying". Not that I would've minded laying on a beach in paradise ;)

You can have my fries ...

It's the little things, right?  Conversation with my daughter, Bethany, this evening.  I was too tired in many ways to cook tonight, so I gave in and went to pick to up "fast food" --cringe, but almost everything was grilled or a salad.

I was working on the computer while the kids ate as my stomach wasn't up for food.  Bethany sneaks in behind me and gives me a hug.  “I love you, Mommy. I just want you to know that.” She gives me another Big HUG. “And you can have my fries if you want =)”

Kids keep the world ... make the world worth ... spinning, I think.  Love you, Beth.  ♥

Getting Lost in the Music ...

“Feel The Music”

Falling, falling, free-falling: effortlessly lost in airborne, unwinding spiral.
Feel music’s intense energy pulse, penetrate and soothe: I’m going viral.
Getting lost in harmonious echoes of resonating ebb and endless flow.
Untethered release, begs repeat, I’m taking flight and finally letting go.

No Through Road ...

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions?” Do you happen to agree or disagree?

This one of those little 'pearls' of conventional wisdom that I tend to disregard in general. If convention’s ”doing it,” chances are: I’m not. I’m taking the circuitous route, coloring outside the lines or flying right on overhead. But the latter aside, let's analyze this little piece of wisdom in a bit more detail.  Right off the bat, you would have to agree with the assumption that there is in fact a “Hell”, would you not? And I don’t believe in “Hell”, in the traditional sense anyway –now there’s an interesting discussion in the making.

But let’s say that you run with the assumption that there is indeed a “Hell” … Then, from a balance perspective, you would have to assume that there is an opposing force or place for Hell … So let’s say there is a Heaven and for the time being let's assume this Heaven comes with a benevolent Divine presiding power, God a Creator if you will.  And it is this Divine power, God the Creator, who gets to ‘determine’ just exactly who is going to Hell. Well, I would have to question the prevailing Divine wisdom or ruling balance that would allow the road leading to this Hell to be paved with “good intentions.” Wouldn't you????? To quote a friend of mine, in such an existence “If there is a 'God' [then] he must be a mean mother-fucker.” ... His words, not mine.  The point being, such a 'God' would be pretty far from benevolent and that goes against everything I have come to know --or otherwise intuit-- about our Creator thus far.

I mean, if a person’s intentions are “good” then they must be aiming to do “right” by someone or something, even if they haven’t quite gotten IT right yet? Right? Even if you don't buy into a single Divine ruling source of over-arching universal balance, a 'God', perhaps you believe instead it is a persons actions alone which will determine whether or not they go to Heaven as opposed to Hell ...  One has to wonder then, in such a scenario, is it an all or nothing deal? Or is it a percentage of intent --w.r.t. to actual outcome-- that determines whether or not your path leads into Hell? And in either case, do you only get ONE chance --one LIFE-- to get it “right”? Dante Alighieri's cast of characters --one of my recent reads-- each one stranded within the various levels of Dante's highly imaginative vision of Hell is swimming vividly through my mind right now.

Well these are the thoughts running through my head today. My mind tends to wander to odd places when I’m stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. Hah! And I just drove over a road sign, knocked flat, sans pole, lying in the middle of a four lane --each way— highway.  What does this the sign 'say'? “NO THROUGH ROAD” … Hmmm:  Perhaps this sign says it all?  ; )

Spirit Dance ...

"The Middle Ground"
@Copyrighted Photograph.  All Rights Reserved: Isa Black Smith.

“Spirit Dance:  Night Owl”

These chains that bind me
Are loosed at night
And there my spirit dances,
Wild and free.

If you seek me, find me there,
Always by way of the silhouette.
Ouroborus, borne again and again.

These chains that bind me
Are loosed at night
And there my spirit dances,
Wild and free.

Tonight the Owl met the Eagle's gaze.
Looked him square within the eye.
Now the mystics dance,
Wild and free.

Homeward bound,
Pure in spirit,
Freed from earthly care,
Flying wild and free,
Borne upon ethereal wings
At long last my spirit sings.

@Isabelle Black Smith, August 2012.

This write was the bounce back --a need to escape and reconnect with the Divine ruling balance-- from writing another poem: "Old Brown Box."  The latter poem was written after finally finding the courage to re-open a tattered old, brown cardboard box that I've lugged around for years and years, always hiding it away in the back of each new closet.  I actually didn't consciously remember exactly what was inside the box when I pulled it out into the light a few days back.  Opening this box was like instantaneously reliving all the pain, within a matter of minutes, all over again.  I had forgotten that I had so hastily thrown so many of my deep dark secrets into a simple cardboard box ... Well, I poured my tears out into the aforementioned poem,"Old Brown Box", but I don't think I'll be sharing that poem here, save to say it felt like "crying someone else's tears."  Think maybe there's a country song in there?  Crying someone else's tears ...

"Parasitic Ineptitude" ...

"Parasitic Ineptitude" ...

Definition: My new 'phraseology' for the blind incorporation of judgmental and divisive attitudes in the form of religious moral beliefs, allegedly based upon “the interpretation of sacred scripture”, in the name of Christianity or any other religion.

Of course the recent “Chick-Filet” incident springs to mind. I have no problem with CEO Dan Kathy believing whatever he wants to believe and practice in his own life. Further, Kathy has every right to apply those practices to the way that he runs I business, I suppose, but I do find his implication in a public arena that other types of families (i.e., those unions not between a man and woman) are not “family friendly” to be divisive and judgmental.  I also find his statement in the public arena to be counter-productive to the running of a business, in general, much less a business that claims to be a “Christian” business. I have to say that scores of “Christians” rushing to the nearest “Chick-Filet” to support Kathy kind conjured up the image of Lemmings jumping off of a cliff, but I’ll stop myself there … Save to say, can you imagine the things that we could accomplish in this country if everyone was willing to jump into their car, with a fistful of cash, in support of meaningful issues like “Let’s put an end to homelessness in America”?

People in this country would do well to grasp one simple and fundamental concept: the distinction between holding a personal moral conviction or belief and the infliction of those convictions upon another. One of the basic tenants of most religions is the concept of “free will.” In essence that is why we are here: to make choices that will advance or hinder the progression of our spiritual evolution. We can’t make the choices for others, but we can perhaps share an enlightened wisdom and lead by example. I don’t think that judgment and division serve any useful purpose toward the end of spiritual evolution and enlightenment.

I would challenge those who would call themselves “Christians” to re-examine what being a Christian truly means to them, individually, instead of merely being content to be led by others and always follow the crowd. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Jesus the man who willingly associated with the undesirable and the impure on a regular basis? And was he divisive and judgmental in his dealings with these people? Jesus to my way of thinking was about Peace, Love & Understanding.  Jesus focused his efforts where he saw that they would potentially do the most good and he spoke and acted with a message that would knock down barriers, eliminate division and heal those most in need of his compassion and love. If your approach to life and dealing with those that you encounter along your journey is anything less than the latter, then perhaps you would do well to call yourself something other than “Christian.”

The United States of America is already divided enough these days.  Instead of finding and embracing reasons for further divide, I wish we would focus on coming together as Americans, working together to find solutions for the really BIG issues issues facing our nation right now.

Peace & Love and Understanding  ... Here's to putting them into action.

~M

P.S.  This was written on day three of a really pounding, debilitating headache, so maybe I'm not "speaking so softly"?  What can I say, everything seems to be amplified with a headache, I guess? ... I just couldn't stand seeing another "Chick-Filet" support posting from friends and family without having a place to vent.  I may revisit this post and edit further at some point after the headache clears.  And yes, I finally did post my opinion about the important distinction between holding a moral convinction and the inflinction of those personal beliefs upon another, coupled with my hope that Americans can somehow find a way to unite behind finding solutions for the REALLY BIG issues currently facing our nation.

A toast: Here's to 60,000 page views!

I love it!  I noticed earlier today that I was fast approaching 60,000 page views ... Thought to myself at the time, wouldn't it be cool to log in and be the exact 60,000th page view and here I am.  Logged in at 12:42 p.m. my time (after popping a peach pie into the oven .... craving peach pie for some strange reason tonight?) and the count was exactly 60,000 page views ... Not one more or less, but 60,000 page views on the chilli.  Pretty cool to me, but then it's the little things for me.  We live in an amazing universe --multi-verse-- and what we see and think we know is merely the tip of an enormous and infinitely expanding "iceberg"... Finally surrendering to this idea has opended my mind to a whole new way of thinking about this journey that I am on and brought so many incredible experiences my way.  What a ride ...

(Some really cool iceberg photos here.  Check them out.)

Enjoy the ride!  Peace & Love ♥   ~M

P.S.  This night (early morning) was also another reason for celebration.  A dear friend of mine was rushed to the ER with a life-threatening illness.  Her mother and family were worried she might not make it through the night.  I spent the night off&on in prayer for her ... sometimes in tears --probably feeling connected to the energy of her family surrounding her.  I received word in the early morning hours that this friend, Grace, had opened her eyes and smiled briefly at her mother, and I just knew at that moment that all would be well.  Grace is, thankfully, doing much better today.  She is stronger and she should make a full recovery her doctors say:  Praise God!  Miracles happen every day ... Sometimes, maybe, you just have to have a little faith and embrace a willingness to BELIEVE in something bigger than ourselves.

3/31/2017 I'm at over 250,000 visits now and I took a year off.  My how time flies!?!

All Creatures Great and Small ...

Questioning your Agnosticism? I love it! Now there is a precipice worthy of taking a good long look over, if there ever was one. Life’s a journey and what a shame if we don’t question, learn and grow along the way, right? Think a wise man once said “The fool thinks himself to be wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.”

Abortion, Capitol Punishment, Euthanasia, Gun Control ( owning a gun and actually using it to protect your home and family) … hypocritical positions? I hear you, such is life … and here we are talking about LIFE. I think, most people don’t really want to take a stand one way or another. They don’t want to commit to the thinking and information gathering needed to make an ‘educated’ decision. Then again, there are many who leave educated thought at the door and let others do their thinking for them (which is scarier to me!?!) . So at least you’re willing to tackle your own hypocrisy and commit to some serious thought provoking engagement. This puts you ahead of the game in my humble opinion. And even when you think you’ve ironed all of the kinks in your reasoning, keep in mind that many of those who do take a stand “for” or “against” any one of the previous “life issues” stands a good chance of changing their positon –for or against-- when the truth of their “choice” is staring right smack in the eyes.

You would laugh at me. I catch spiders and bugs --that somehow wind up in the house-- inside glasses or jars and then release them outside.  Flies are near impossible to corner and bees pack a mighty punch with that sting, but I am a hypocrite too, I guess? You see, I just could not bring myself to catch roaches when we lived in Texas. They just scared the hell out of me for some reason? They are God’s creatures too, right? I would rather tackle a snake, tarantula, or scorpion than a roach any day the week. I’d often call Ken and make him deal with the roaches, which thankfully were never many. The other times, I just told myself I was giving them an express ticket back home to see their maker --which is a good thing right? ; ) I love it up here in Washington: I have not seen a single roach the entire four years that we have lived up here.

Anyhow, I look forward to seeing your thoughts on these issues unfold. Always have enjoyed the way your mind works. Do miss having your input in my life, but I am thankful that you are so committed to sharing your vision of the world via your blog. Take care of you!

Peace & Much Love to you …
~M

P.S.  Here's another sign you might appreciate? Took this photo while out on a hiking trail up here.  Made ME laugh, but maybe that's just me? ... Besides, all of the important "answers" (adventures) aren't going to be found along the well-beaten path to my way of thinking.

My new favorite word ...

My new favorite word:  Quixotic.  Such a fabulous word, wouldn't you agree????? Love it!

..."extravagantly chivalrous or romantic" ...
Now there's something you don't often find nowadays?

I've always wanted to read this tale, "Don Quixote", by Cervantes.  Might just be my next read.

Happy almost FRIDAY, ya'll!  Do something impulsive ... quixotic.... to celebrate.

Going to get lost in my words today.  Always amazes me how I so totally loose all connection with Time when I'm playing with words.

Song:  "Don Quixote", Gordon Lightfoot

Song:  "Shake It Out", By Florence and the Machine  ... (Came across this song today.  Reminds a bit of the dream I had --wrote about- about the moon the other night and my life in general, where the second girl in the tree at the end would be my inner child.)

A poem to go with this song & video ...

“Sweetness of Surrender”

You speak to me finally with two faces, I see:
The hidden nature of your own conflicting duality?
My own subconscious mind finally awakened …
Now conscious to past regrets long since mistaken.
Reconnecting against better judgment’s worldly reason.
Seeking truth for confusion’s swirling thoughts of treason.
Opened and vulnerable, on my knees I bleed once more.
Unworthiness and doubt the seeds of my neglected store.
In childish hopes of finding a long held wanting of release,
My Inner Child rises to grant unanswered chaos final peace.
With her grace, illusion is at last with liberation forcefully shattered …
Together, we two, now step forth to embrace the truly mattered.
The Life we seek comes from up above and infinitely all around.
In surrender there is an indescribable peace that will never be found.

@Copyrighted Poem, August 2012. All Rights Reserved: Isabelle Black Smith.

A friend of mine said she loved this poem, but did not understand the last line.  So here is the explanation:   Yes, the last line can be confusing, because it is our human nature to always "think", "reason" and "seek" ... What I meant here was that indescribable peace cannot be found by us, it finds us when we are finally ready to surrender to it ... like an innocent child : )  ... But maybe you were able to figure this out all on your own?
