All Wars Begin in the Mind ....

"All wars begin in the [human] mind", a well known Vedic mantra ... Do you agree or disagree?  Well if this is true, then not only are we living in 'interesting times' (ironically, an ancient Chinese curse), but we're living in some really dangerous times!  I mean, is it only me who feels like we're presently living in a really BAD episode of the old classic black & white  television series, "The Twilight Zone"?  Defunding the Police across the nation will really protect and save Black lives???  Defunding the Police won't lead to outright anarchy and chaos when the truly meaningful laws (our elected government officials actually do get around passing) no longer have anyone around to enforce them?  Drive any speed you like?  Traffic signs and lights, awwh shucks, those are just suggestions.  And bonus they'll take your guns too, so you won't be able to defend yourself when there are no longer any law enforcement officers to act as deterrents against crime and violence or to call on for help when you need it.

The list of downright crazy just goes on and on, highlighted by the supposedly  'peaceful' --what planet are those who claim these are 'peaceful' protests living on?!-- protests  that are being violently co-opted by radical left-wing activists in our nation's biggest cities --which, conveniently the  mainstream media just isn't bothering to cover with even basic facts.  But the tip-top two on my "ultimate crazytown" list have got to be, by far:  #1) That one of our two major political parties has chosen to run a COGNITIVELY challenged individual-- someone who can't string even two coherent sentences together-- and no on the Left is saying ANYTHING?!  Crickets would be better than the mainstream media's pathetic attempts to SPIN Joe Biden. Talk about your ultimate shadow government ... who exactly do people who are seriously considering voting for Joe Biden think will be running show if he's elected?  Moreover, do these would-be Biden voters even really care WHO will be running the show? Or do the 'people who matter' already know the answer to this question? And why isn't anyone else asking this question?!!!!!? ... All that being said, my #2 for "ultimate crazytown" would make all renowned philosophers from ages past simply turn over in their graves: (drum roll please!)  #2) that men "have a constitutional right [need??!!??] to be guaranteed taxpayer funded abortions."  'Take that blankin' Biology and a finger to you, Mother Nature!'  In our new world order, if we can merely 'think' upon a thing, it now becomes part of our tangible reality. Wow?!  Let's ask Californians how merely thinking upon green-energy is working for them?  Technologically speaking, green-energy was NOT ready for prime-time, per the SCIENCE! But the brilliant minds in California's government figured if they merely mandated green-energy, via legislation, that they could magically prove Science wrong.  Look how that's working for them in their new imposed reality of widespread power outages (unpredictable and unplanned) and blackouts (planned attempts at managing crisis). Really, that's where we are at now ... Man, all bets are truly off if this represents the malleable state of the current human mind.  And you wonder why the aliens took a hard pass on contacting Earth?

9/1/2020 Not a word of mention during the entire Democratic National Convention regarding the rampant violence and destruction being waged by bused-in rioters in our biggest cities across the nation.  Then suddenly, post Republican National Convention and in light of new polling data, Joe Biden suddenly comes out denouncing these riots, the violence and destruction --wink, wink ... follow the $$money$$, people!  And then, to add insult to injury, Biden tries to blame these heretofore non-existent riots on President Trump? Ever heard of the constitutional "separation of powers", Mr. Biden? Criminal activity on city streets must be taken care of by local law enforcement, unless and until the governor of a state formally requests federal assistance ... Wake-up you Fools! Stop drinking the feel-good 'Koolaide' of  one-size fits all, black & white, empty-promises (words and no action to back it UP!) and OWN your blankin' minds before it's too late!  Liberty, the life-blood of our American Democracy is what's at stake in America!!! Liberty ensures, but also requires a measure FREEDOM OF THOUGHT [meaning you must actively USE YOUR MIND to seek your own version of truth, using actual facts, logic and reason. Just swallowing the truckloads of **** being shoveled 24/7, in concert by liberal elites, mainstream media, politicians, academics, corporate owners and big tech doesn't really cut it anymore!]

I challenge you to exercise that atrophied 'muscle' between your big ears and to follow reason and logic to your own conclusions!  Don't just blindly accept party-driven mantras and talking points. The issues are not all plain black and white, although the elites would have you believe that the issues truly are just that simple.  Unfortunately, thanks to the mainstream media --which has now become a blanket propaganda tool for the Democratic Party-- and social media, finding your own version of truth is not so easy nowadays, but that shouldn't stop you from trying.  I dare you to color BOLDLY outside some thought-lines and then connect the dots.  You might be surprised at what you'll find?  Then speak up now and act now, or forever hold your tongue, lest America be remade in the Liberals long-desired elitist image.  For in that future world, you will have no choice but to surrender your MIND --if you haven't already?

"It's NOT Fair!" ...

“Stop & Stare” … A Song By One Republic … “Fair ain’t what you really need” One of the lines from the song.  How many times do hear children say “That’s not fair!” And how do you reply to this emotionally charged expletive?  Or rather, I should say, what’s the first thought that goes through your mind.  I mean, if you’re being honest. You want to say, “Hey, kid, Life is anything but fair so get used to it!” But how cruel and heartless is that?  That life is not fair is a truth they will come to know on their own, eventually, but how soon do you want or really need to let them in on it? Isn’t it funny the lengths we often go to in order to shield our children from the sometimes cruel realities of this world. Knowing all the while -- if we are being honest with ourselves and them—that at some point we have to let our children in on some of the less pleasant “truths” of our world in order prepare them to face the world on their own someday and actually survive. The trick is to enlighten them in subtle, simple ways that they can come understand gradually, while processing a given truth within the scope of their limited experience, right?

Isn’t it funny --albiet a sad kind of funny ... sometimes you have to laugh just to keep from crying-- how so much of what is going on the world today is worthy of that simple, innocent childhood response: “That’s not fair!” It’s not fair that an innocent man, an ambassador of goodwill, working to forge meaningful political and economic relationships with a “neighboring” country should be dragged from the embassy where he worked. That he should be brutally tortured, sodomized and dragged through the streets before finally surrendering to his death. It’s not fair that an analyst working at the same embassy and two Navy Seals, staying at an adjacent safe house who responded with intent to help fend off the embassy attack, also lost their lives in this brutal attack. It’s insane –forget FAIR!-- to think that four human lives were needlessly taken in retaliation for a perceived insult delivered via a supposed internet video created by a misguided American who does not speak for our country as a whole. It’s not fair –not to mention unconscionable-- that our fellow inhabitants of this rapidly spinning Blue Planet think that it is not only okay to take human lives because of perceived insults due the nature of our different religious and political beliefs, but that they actually believe that doing so is the will of God our Creator?! It’s not fair that millions of Americans can’t find work and have stopped looking. It’s not fair that we live in a world where the cost to put a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our bodies and gas in our cars is sky rocketing out of control with no clear meaningful economic relief in sight. It’s not fair that our nation is so divided along religious and political party lines that we seem to have lost the ability to carry on any meaningful civilized discussions toward the end of alleviating the REAL problems facing our nation as a whole. It’s not fair that religious people judge and condemn others in the name of their religion. It’s not fair that an injured soldier who bravely served his/her country returns home to face nearly insurmountable struggles with insufficient aid and nearly laughable compensation from our government. It’s not fair that the nuclear option is returning to the forefront of conceivable realities for our lifetime, with a now nuclear North Korea and an Iran on the cusp of becoming a nuclear power … especially in light of the escalating hostilities from Middle East towards Americans and the United States. It’s not fair ….

It’s not fair, but the meaningful question here is what are you going to do about it? Taken as a whole, I agree, it ALL is rather overwhelming. So just pick one … one thing that you are going to do, yourself, today to help make the world a better place … to share with our children that, yes, sometimes life isn’t fair, but in those instances you can still have a voice and act to impact change towards a greater end. I think we teach our children best by example, by our actions … not by the easy way out of “do as I say, not as I do.” Our children are watching: what will they learn from us as parents, citizens, members of houses of worship … political parties, communities?

Perhaps you can pray with your children for those who have needlessly lost their lives in terror attacks. Pray for the misguided souls that are being used by politically motivated extremist religious leaders to take innocent lives. Perhaps you will find the courage to speak out against the misguided that act in hate or violence in the name of your religion. Perhaps you will swallow your pride and forgive your neighbor when they insult you for your differing opinion on religious or political matters. Perhaps you will be an informed citizen that actually makes it to the polls on Election day 2012 in order to cast a legitimate vote with the hope of stopping –and ultimately reversing-- the rapidly declining state of our country. Perhaps you will help a friend network and find a job … Make a donation to your local food bank. The opportunities to truly make a difference and impact change are endless. Don’t give up hope … Don’t just bicker and complain: ACT. Our children are watching: what will they learn from us as parents, citizens, members of houses of worship … political parties, communities? Perhaps the most powerful legacy we leave our children is our meaningful action in the face of adversity.

Power of LOVE: Hope for Mankind ...

I have been thinking a lot about Death lately, for personal reasons. I just feel the circle of the dance with Death closing its distance upon me for some reason. But no worries:  I am not afraid of Death. He and I are old friends. … Anyhow, I guess, that my thoughts on Death were enhanced by the celebration of Easter and contemplating Jesus’s willingness to die, on the cross, for our sins.

Jesus's willingness to die for our sins:  that is truly some gift to give to bestow upon mankind, is it not? And clearly, this was not a gift bestowed because of our worthiness, but rather it was a gift given of pure selflessness … bestowed for no other rather reason than sheer and unconditional ♥LOVE ♥ .

… “Unconditional”… I wonder how many of us can honestly say that we apply this criteria to our dealings with others in our own lives? With everything that is going on in the world today, all of the chaos, sin and corruption. Sometimes, I wonder what it would take to “save” the world today? What about just saving a piece of the world in some small way? I wonder, if I were called to give my life as a sacrifice to save the lives of others –even just a few lives … maybe even the lives of total strangers—would I be willing answer this call? Would you?

After much thought and contemplation, I think, I can honestly say that I would be willing to sacrifice my own life … even if it would change or save just one life. I guess, at my core, I have a unyielding belief in man’s capacity for good ... and this despite everything that I have been through in my own life.

Well maybe reading these thoughts gives you HOPE for this world of ours after all?  There are good people in this world, and I’d like to think that the good people outnumber the bad influences and corruption. Maybe that’s naive, but I like to look at it as having Hope for mankind. Maybe Hope and Faith (and alot of prayer!), tide you over until the Power of Love overcomes the Love of Power … And a wise man once said:

“When the Power of Love overcomes the Love of Power,
then the world will know true Peace.” ~Jimi Hendrix

Now that would be SOME WORLD to live in ...

P.S.  In case you were wondering my words are still flowing.  I'd say I'm about halfway through with the new novel.  Channeling this one has been quite a ride thus far.  At this rate, I could finish my write by the end of summer.  Wouldn't that be something? Well, you know me: ever hopeful ... "the hopeless dreamer" as I have often been called, but I don't mind.  I couldn't live in a world void of dreams, even if that means that the bad dreams come hand in hand with the good dreams. Joyful day ya'll! =)
